I had the Braised Haddock with Rice and it was the most incredible flavorful preparation. The sauce was outstanding.

The butter chicken poutine was amazing! The portions are worth the price and the waitresses are quite friendly. I recommend this restaurant!

Food is really good but I wouldn’t recommend coming if you’re a university student. The wait staff completely ignores you while you sit there and watch your waitress check on every other table but your own. I never have this issue when I’m with my father or grandparents here. They need to learn a lesson from Gabrieau’s Bistro when it comes to hospitality.

My boyfriend and I had dinner at The Brownstone in Antigonish, and it was a truly memorable evening. The atmosphere is warm and inviting — cozy, elegant, and the kind of place that feels both special and comfortable.

The food was fantastic: beautifully presented, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Our dishes were delicious, and we appreciated the mix of creativity and comfort in the menu. The service was attentive without being overbearing — our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and made great suggestions.

Add in the charming decor and the fact that it’s such a nice spot for a date night, and you’ve got a winner. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be back when we’re in the area again. Highly recommend!

We all loved our food here. There waitress was very nice. Quick service. Beautiful atmosphere and decor.

There are several options that can be made vegan. And they can sub vegan cheese on anything. The mushroom and caramelized onion pizza with substituted vegan cheese was amazing!

One con: the bathroom smells awful and we could even smell it sitting in our booth.

From the very start of stepping in the door to the end, everything and everyone was so great! Our hostess was very upfront about the wait and was incredibly accommodating and friendly to not only my group but the other groups behind us as well. Our server was so friendly and that extends to every person who works there as well. Food came out in a very reasonable amount of time and was absolutely delicious! 10/10

Picked up take out on a sunny Tuesday night. The place was packed. Ordered the guacamole burger with the shepherds pie soup on the side, while my wife ordered the beet salad with chicken added. We were both very happy with our meals. I had never tried that kind of soup, it was almost like a light stew, very satisfying. We also got the peach cobbler for dessert and it also satisfied the need for a little sweet treat. Make sure you put the ice cream straight in the freezer when you get home though as it was pretty melted by the time I got back to our hotel with the food.

Awesome restaurant we tried while on vacation in the area. I had the chicken pad thai, my wife had the greek chicken bites on salad, my son had the mac and cheese and everyone was happy with their meal.

Good choice of drinks and food for every taste, cool cocktails also. Nice ambiance on the terrace and it looked cozy inside. The service was nice and friendly. I recommend.

Second time going here while travelling. The food is exquisite! A great menu with some gluten-free options. They have been busy both times, but service was prompt, as was food. Love the atmosphere here !!

Phenomenal food!
My wife had the Chicken Tikka Masala and said it was the best chicken she's ever had!
I had a burger and it was so juicy.
The fries were unbelievable.
Laura was an excellent server!
Best restaurant service we've had in a long time.
Definitely, we will go back next time we're visiting Antigonish.

Impressive restaurant! Glad we dropped in at 5:30, as there was a lineup at 6 PM. Enjoyed the patio, and the impressive menu. Food was great plus lots of gluten free options including the seafood medley which was delicious! Too full for dessert and took away the most delicious lemon cookies to enjoy later.

I had the Scotia burger. It was well done. There was supposed to be maple syrup on it. There was some on the plate, but didn't taste it on the burger, still good. Upgraded to poutine. Very good. Wife got the scallop and mushroom carbonara. It was well done and tasty, lots of scallops. Staff was very friendly. We ate outside. The place was clean. The prices were decent.

Was in town for the Highland Games and visiting family and ended up going here multiple times. Every meal I tried something different (Lobster Poutine, lobster roll with roasted tomato and cheddar soup, kettle chip nachos with pork, garlic butter mussels, Haggis special) and each time it was great! Very friendly staff each time. Minor nitpick is that it was very load and echoey in there.

Top notch food. Varied menu without being overwhelming. Elegant, yet casual atmosphere.

But I do wish the service were more attentive. We had to wait a while to be seated and despite there being 4-5 staff around, no one actually greeted us to confirm someone was coming. Kids menu was only offered later rather than upon being seated. Once the food was served, the waitress did not come to check on us, which was nice. But never came back, which was not.

Toilet seat is jiggly and needs to be tightened.

All that being said, the negatives were nitpicks and I recommend this place and would gladly come back.
